As a Service Writer, you'll handle work order processing, scheduling, and administrative tasks while building strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
Job Description:
- Open, close, and process work orders and invoices accurately.
- Maintain control of field and shop work orders in collaboration with the supervisor.
- Support scheduling of technicians and manage the service board for efficient operations.
- Track and retrieve purchase orders (POs) and maintain equipment status updates.
- Ensure accurate billing and parts inventory tracking.
- Maintain safety records, SMFs, and compliance documentation.
- Support AP/AR processes and other administrative duties as required.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Dispatch field technicians and monitor their location for safety.
- Provide mechanics with daily paperwork and job details.
- Track NDT requirements and update spreadsheets.
- Order shop supplies and monitor inventory levels.
- Activate site access and support safety compliance tracking.
- Build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Complete administrative functions as required.
Requirements:
- Previous related experience in a mechanical or shop setting is an asset.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory control software.
- Excellent reading comprehension and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Important:
- Based out of our Lloydminster location.
- Permanent, full-time role.
- Monday – Friday, 5x2 schedule.
