As a Service Writer, you'll handle work order processing, scheduling, and administrative tasks while building strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

Job Description:

  • Open, close, and process work orders and invoices accurately.
  • Maintain control of field and shop work orders in collaboration with the supervisor.
  • Support scheduling of technicians and manage the service board for efficient operations.
  • Track and retrieve purchase orders (POs) and maintain equipment status updates.
  • Ensure accurate billing and parts inventory tracking.
  • Maintain safety records, SMFs, and compliance documentation.
  • Support AP/AR processes and other administrative duties as required.

Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Dispatch field technicians and monitor their location for safety.
  • Provide mechanics with daily paperwork and job details.
  • Track NDT requirements and update spreadsheets.
  • Order shop supplies and monitor inventory levels.
  • Activate site access and support safety compliance tracking.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Complete administrative functions as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous related experience in a mechanical or shop setting is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory control software.
  • Excellent reading comprehension and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Important:

  • Based out of our Lloydminster location.
  • Permanent, full-time role.
  • Monday – Friday, 5x2 schedule.
