Position Description

Working with Modine's EHS team, the EHS Intern will support EHS program implementation and regulatory compliance at our manufacturing sites. The EHS Engineering Intern assists with implementation of EHS initiatives and completes EHS related improvement projects. Course work related to Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Safety, Environmental Engineering, OSHA and EPA compliance, Sustainability, Environmental Science, and Injury/Illness Prevention is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft word, excel and power point
  • Strong written skills, including the ability to update written compliance programs and training powerpoints.
  • Ability to conduct air and noise sampling.
  • Ability to walk the factory floor and conduct audits of machinery, people and processes.
  • Ability to provide basic EHS training, including delivering powerpoint presentations.
  • Update procedures, forms and inspections for various EHS topics such as, but not limited to: Lockout-Tagout, Behavior Based Safety, NFPA70E, Forklifts, Mechanical Power Presses, Hoists-Cranes-Slings, Ergonomics, etc.
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Sophomore standing in an EHS related program.
  • Work in a team environment.
