Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, windows, furniture, and fixtures to ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Perform floor care duties such as vacuuming carpets, mopping hard floors, and maintaining overall cleanliness of hallways and public areas.
  • Restock amenities like toiletries, towels, linens, and other supplies to meet guest needs efficiently.
  • Conduct routine inspections of rooms and common areas to identify maintenance issues or safety hazards and report them promptly.
  • Follow established cleaning procedures using appropriate janitorial equipment and industrial cleaning products to achieve optimal results.
  • Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, room status updates, and supply inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping management to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of all cleaning duties.

Skills

  • Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or hospitality housekeeping roles with a strong understanding of cleaning standards.
  • Knowledge of floor care techniques including vacuuming, mopping, waxing, and polishing surfaces.
  • Familiarity with hotel operations and customer service principles within the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks using specialized equipment safely and effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to identifying maintenance or safety issues.
  • Strong custodial experience with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in housekeeping management or supervising cleaning staff is a plus but not required.
