Job Overview

Job Title: Rooms Attendant

Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor

Hotel: The Court House Hotel, Thunder Bay

The Room Attendant will report to the Housekeeping Supervisor or their designee. Their job will be to clean all guest rooms assigned to them professionally to meet the standard of productivity and presentation required by the hotel and company policy. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial or industrial cleaning, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining cleanliness.

Responsibilities

- Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with the hotel's standards

- Clean and maintain guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas

- Change linens, make beds, and replenish room supplies

- Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties

- Dispose of trash and recyclables in designated areas

- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and stored properly

Experience

- Previous experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping preferred

- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and walking for extended periods

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in industrial cleaning or custodial roles
  • Knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures and standards
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Understanding of cleaning techniques and products used in the hotel industry

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.60 per hour
