As a Machinery Sales Representative, you'll drive sales growth by identifying opportunities, showcasing machinery capabilities, and closing deals with clients across Canada. This role is perfect for professionals experienced in selling CNC machines, edgebanders, panel saws, or similar equipment, who thrive in a fast-paced, travel-heavy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and generate leads for machinery sales across Canada, targeting key markets such as Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, and other industrial hubs.
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations, consultations, and technical presentations to highlight machinery features and benefits.
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships, delivering tailored solutions to meet diverse business needs.
- Achieve ambitious sales targets through strategic planning, effective negotiation, and closing high-value deals.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor products, and advancements in machinery technology.
- Collaborate with service technicians and engineers to ensure exceptional customer support and satisfaction.
- Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences across Canada to boost brand visibility.
- Provide detailed sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to guide business strategies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 3+ years of proven experience in machinery sales, ideally with industrial equipment, CNC systems, or manufacturing tools.
- Strong technical knowledge to explain complex machinery specifications to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to engage clients nationwide.
- Self-driven and results-focused, with the ability to thrive independently in a dynamic, travel-intensive role.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively across Canada (up to 40% travel).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
- Familiarity with Canada's manufacturing sectors, including furniture production, cabinetry, and custom fabrication.
