Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and customer service, with experience in food and beverage preparation. The Barista will be responsible for creating high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company standards
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries
  • Handle food safety and food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space
  • Manage cash register operations, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions
  • Assist with food preparation and serving snacks or light food items as needed
  • Manage time efficiently during busy periods to serve customers promptly
  • Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times

Requirements

  • Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
