Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using proper techniques and equipment.
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling.
  • Handle food items safely, adhering to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in compliance with health regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing inquiries professionally.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service and order accuracy.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as assembling ingredients or packaging items for takeout.
  • Ensure accurate cash transactions and balance cash register at the end of shifts.
  • Follow all safety protocols related to food handling and workplace safety.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently during high-volume periods.
  • Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
  • Experience with food preparation, serving, and food safety standards is a plus.
  • Prior experience in food service or cashiering roles will help ensure success in this position. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about delivering quality service in a vibrant café environment while honing their skills in food handling, customer engagement, and operational procedures.
