Previous barista experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. The position involves handling transactions accurately using POS systems, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout each shift.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and consistency
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate cashiering and cash handling
  • Take customer orders efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service
  • Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, pastries, or other menu items as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety standards
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
  • Manage cash register transactions accurately, including basic math calculations for change
  • Restock supplies and ensure the workspace is clean and inviting for customers
  • Assist in serving customers both at the counter and via drive-thru (if applicable)

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Barista or in food service is highly desirable
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
  • Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient cashiering
  • Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with food preparation and serving techniques is a plus
