THE ROLE:
Apply Digital is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master with deep expertise in Scrum and Agile frameworks to lead complex digital programs. This role centers on guiding multiple digital development teams through structured, iterative delivery, ensuring clarity, alignment, and momentum across projects. You will bring agency or consultancy experience, having successfully led digital transformations and flagship initiatives, while bridging business objectives with technical execution. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, drives disciplined processes, and can translate strategic priorities into actionable plans for cross-functional teams
In this position, you will be the primary Scrum Leader for several development squads, using your knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid Agile approaches to maximize team performance, delivery quality, and client impact. Your role combines tactical project oversight with strategic thinking, balancing day-to-day execution with long-term program goals. Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills are essential for ensuring alignment across teams, translating complex discussions into clear actions, and maintaining transparency with clients and leadership
Candidates must be able to work standard Pacific Time (PT) hours, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM as needed, to support client deliverables and team collaboration. RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as Scrum Master for multiple digital development teams, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to drive focus, transparency, and continuous improvement. Lead complex digital projects from initiation to delivery, translating client outcomes into clear plans while managing scope, timeline, and budget. Guide teams through Agile and Kanban practices, adapting methodologies to team needs while fostering efficiency and delivery excellence. Define and maintain project roadmaps, release plans, and capacity schedules, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks. Act as the primary liaison between technical and business stakeholders, ensuring project priorities align with strategic objectives and business value. Oversee the release process across multiple platforms, coordinating deployments, resolving blockers, and maintaining QA and performance standards. Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions, including requirements gathering, design reviews, and feedback cycles, to create shared understanding and alignment across teams. Collaborate with analytics, QA, and technical teams to inform decisions with data, validate outcomes, and ensure project success against KPIs and performance metrics. Maintain accurate documentation, progress tracking, and reporting in project management tools, ensuring transparency for leadership and client stakeholders. Manage third-party vendors and partners, ensuring adherence to agreements, quality standards, and integration within the overall delivery framework. Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture by monitoring team morale, encouraging learning, and promoting Agile best practices and adoption of effective tools. REQUIREMENTS: 6-10 years of experience leading complex, end-to-end digital programs in an agency, consultancy, or professional services environment, ideally for enterprise or global clients, with a proven record of delivering flagship digital experiences and high-profile platforms. Prior experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Lead supporting digital initiatives, demonstrating the ability to navigate technical complexity, high visibility, and elevated expectations for performance, reliability, and delivery. Must be able to work during Pacific Time (PT) hours, typically 9:00 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM as required to align with client and team schedules. Strong foundation in digital project management, including ownership of timelines, budgets, scope, and delivery across digital applications, with the agility to adapt to evolving client and business needs. Deep understanding of Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid), the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices. Agile or Scrum Master certifications (CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent) are a plus. Experienced in facilitating cross-functional collaboration among technical, design, data, and business teams—aligning priorities, driving accountability, and ensuring smooth communication across stakeholders. Strong, energetic leadership presence, able to motivate teams, influence decision-making, and maintain focus under pressure while demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and composure. Highly emotionally intelligent and adaptable, capable of reading team dynamics, anticipating challenges, and adjusting communication styles to maintain alignment and trust with clients and internal teams. Skilled in stakeholder management and facilitation, from sprint ceremonies to executive reviews, translating discussions into actionable delivery plans and measurable outcomes. Technically fluent, able to engage confidently on topics including AI, analytics, cloud architecture, and platform integrations, using insights to support data-informed decision-making. Experience managing headless or composable platforms across eCommerce, CMS, loyalty, and personalization systems (e.g., CommerceTools, Contentful, Talon. One, Auth0, Segment, etc.). Adept at managing vendors and external partners, defining scope, budgets, and SLAs, and ensuring seamless integration within broader delivery efforts. Proficient in project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Airtable, Notion, Smartsheet, and Google Suite, with hands-on experience managing Jira development boards preferred. Skilled in tracking and reporting KPIs and performance metrics, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement in processes and delivery outcomes. Strong relationship builder, capable of engaging confidently with Director, VP, and C-suite stakeholders while balancing diplomacy with clarity and sound judgment. A flexible, resilient, and proactive leader with a positive, can-do attitude—committed to fostering team growth, collaboration, and a one-team culture. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, taking initiative to resolve ambiguity and drive projects toward clear, impactful results. LIFE AT APPLY DIGITAL
