Job Title: Telecom Project Manager

Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid)

Job Description:

MUST HAVE

  • 10+ years of project management

  • PMP certification is a must

  • Experienced in handling integrated projects/program

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

· Lead full project lifecycle from initiation to closure.

· Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and quality metrics.

· Oversee day-to-day project execution, ensuring deliverables meet expected standards.

· Manage project changes using structured change-control processes.

· Stakeholder & Team Management

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and executive stakeholders.

· Facilitate clear communication, project updates, and governance meetings.

· Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members.

· Build strong relationships to drive alignment and resolve conflicts.

Risk & Issue Management

· Identify potential risks and dependencies early; create mitigation and contingency plans.

· Conduct regular risk reviews and escalate critical issues when required.

· Optimize project delivery by proactively addressing bottlenecks.

· Budgeting & Reporting

· Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.

· Track KPIs, ensure project performance remains on target, and prepare executive dashboards.

· Maintain documentation for audits and compliance.

· Process & Quality Assurance

· Ensure adherence to organizational project management frameworks (PMO, Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).

· Implement best practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and lessons-learned sessions.

· Champion process standardization and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree inEngineering, IT, or related field (Master's preferred).

10+ years of proven project management experience handling large or complex programs.

· Strong understanding of project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum certifications preferred).

· Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

· Demonstrated experience in vendor management and cross-functional leadership.

· Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, JIRA etc.).
