Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk

Responsibilities:
- Utilize accounting software Sage to maintain financial records and generate reports
- Perform daily accounting tasks, including invoicing, data entry, account reconciliation, and account analysis
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate recording of employee hours and wages
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any accounting discrepancies or issues
- Assist with inventory and order processing
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk / Bookkeeper
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
- Reliable and proven track record of on time, in person attendance
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Sage and SAP
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with payroll processing is a plus
This full-time position has potential for future increased compensation for the right candidate who can show up consistently and on time and multi-task while understanding the dynamics of a family business, where we all pitch in to get things done.
Summary
As a Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk, you will be integral to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the accounting system. Reporting directly to the President, your core skills in bookkeeping and payroll will ensure timely processing of accounts payable and receivable. Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and SAP will enhance your ability to perform account reconciliations and budgeting tasks effectively. Your clerical experience and strong communication skills will contribute to a collaborative work environment, helping the organization achieve its financial goals.
