Position Summary

We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Forklift (Raymond Reach) Operator to join our Production team in Brampton. This role reports to the Welding & Sheet Metal Supervisor and plays a key role in ensuring the efficient movement of products, equipment, and materials throughout the plant facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Forklift/Raymond Reach truck to move pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials to designated areas.
• Load/unload materials onto or off shelving units, skids, and lifting devices.
• Accurately verify the contents of pallets/skids before transport.
• Maintain sheet metal inventory and initiate reorder when minimum levels are reached.
• Charge the truck daily and report any mechanical or operational issues using the daily checklist.
• Handle sheet metal in a fabrication environment; work outside when needed to unload/load material and dispose of scrap.
• Maximize departmental space by organizing and transferring parts between pallets.
• Support plant floor 5S expectations and contribute to cleanliness and organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Certification

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Prior experience with Raymond Reach forklift operation is required
• Experience handling sheet metal is a strong asset

Key Skills

• Proven ability to operate lift trucks safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and operating procedures
• Capable of understanding safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals in English
• Basic math skills including fractions and decimals
• Familiarity with MS Office tools is considered an asset

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Regularly required to stand, reach, talk, and hear
• Must frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration; operates in a regulated plant environment
