VPC Group is looking for a Forklift Operator to support its quality foam products in 4 West Drive, Brampton, ON.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts to move materials — load/unload materials and products, transport materials/pallets to and from designated areas within the facility.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse/manufacturing space — stack and arrange products, keep storage/shipping/receiving areas organized and accessible.
  • Inspect forklifts and report issues — perform pre-shift checks, ensure equipment is safe to operate, report maintenance needs.
  • Adhere to safety standards and guidelines — follow company and regulatory safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Visual and dimensional inspections of materials/products — verify materials when moving or storing them; ensure items meet quality/size/shape specs as required.
  • General labour and support duties — assist with other tasks as needed (e.g. shipping/receiving, housekeeping in the warehouse).
  • Manual lifting when required — ability to lift materials up to ~50 lbs (≈ 25 kg) when necessary (e.g. for pallet prep, manual handling).
  • Shift Timing - Monday-Friday - 3:00 PM-11:00 PM (Overtime as required).
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Valid forklift licence — having a certified licence to operate forklifts is required.
  • Ability to read measuring tape in both Imperial and Metric units (i.e. be able to measure lengths and distances accurately in both measurement systems).
  • Basic mathematics skills — needed for measuring, stacking, or inventory tasks.
  • Physically able to lift materials — ability to lift up to ~50 lbs (≈ 25 kg) when needed.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment — previous relevant experience is considered an asset.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and repetitive tasks.
  • At least 1-2 years in a similar role required.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team member.

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-shift inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Handle materials/products safely when loading/unloading/transporting to avoid accidents.
  • Abide by all safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Identify, report, and avoid all hazards.
  • Always operate with safety in mind.
  • Report any near misses to supervisor.
