Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing support to both patients and medical staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of medical terminology, along with experience in managing electronic medical records and front desk operations.

Duties

  • Greet patients and manage front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
  • Handle incoming calls using a multi-line phone system, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, including Oscar.
  • Process patient information, including insurance verification and billing inquiries.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
  • Provide support in managing office supplies and maintaining a clean work environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology is essential.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems including Oscar.
  • Strong administrative skills with experience in office management tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems is a plus.
