Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. This leadership role is vital in ensuring the smooth daily operations of our store, delivering exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to motivate and develop team members. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail management are highly valued to enhance communication with diverse customer bases and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and sales strategies.
  • Lead and supervise store staff, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure high performance.
  • Manage payroll processing, scheduling, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain excellent customer service standards.
  • Execute merchandising plans, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize sales.
  • Oversee POS transactions, cash handling procedures, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy.
  • Participate in recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and assisting with onboarding processes.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and develop action plans to meet or exceed targets.
  • Coordinate purchasing decisions and manage supplier relationships to optimize inventory levels.
  • Implement marketing initiatives within the store to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized store environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or supervisory roles within a retail environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred for diverse customer engagement.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills.
  • Experience with merchandising, pricing strategies, purchasing, and marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Skills in negotiation, recruiting, training & development, budgeting, and sales management are highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks such as payroll and record keeping.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal communication abilities. Pay: $134,730.58-$157,405.71 per year
