Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. This leadership role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our store, delivering exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth. Duties

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and sales strategies
  • Lead and supervise store staff, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team
  • Manage customer relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
  • Handle payroll processing, cash handling, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy and integrity
  • Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility and sales
  • Oversee pricing strategies, purchasing decisions, and inventory replenishment to optimize profitability
  • Utilize POS systems efficiently for transactions and sales reporting
  • Conduct recruiting efforts including interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees
  • Maintain organizational standards through effective time management, communication skills, and adherence to company policies

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or sales management with supervising responsibilities
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
  • Proficiency in merchandising, pricing strategies, POS systems, and cash handling procedures
  • Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and administrative tasks
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation, marketing, training & development, and customer service excellence
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and time management capabilities
  • Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professionalism and positive phone etiquette
  • Prior experience in recruiting, interviewing candidates, and supervising staff is preferred
