Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills within a fast-paced retail environment, contributing to the overall success and growth of the store.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Lead and supervise sales associates, providing coaching, training, and development to foster a high-performing team.
  • Manage merchandising efforts, including product placement, pricing strategies, and inventory control to maximize sales.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, and bookkeeping activities with accuracy and integrity.
  • Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new staff members.
  • Assist with payroll processing, scheduling, and administrative tasks to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility and sales.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles within a retail environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising software, and basic bookkeeping principles.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation, sales management, pricing strategies, and marketing.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development, budgeting, and payroll processing.
  • Customer service orientation with a focus on delivering an exceptional shopping experience.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain confidentiality of financial information. This role is integral to our store's success by ensuring operational excellence while fostering a positive environment for both customers and staff. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $134,400.00-$155,880.97 per year
