Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to manage all aspects of shipping, receiving, and dropshipping operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and technical skills, proficiency with logistics software and data management tools, and a proactive approach to improving warehouse efficiency and shipping performance.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and oversee daily shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment activities, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery.
- Manage inventory control and warehouse organization, maintaining accurate stock levels through efficient use of QuickBooks and Office Tools.
- Process and track all outgoing and incoming shipments using FIFO (First-In-First-Out) inventory methodology.
- Utilize carrier and courier tracking systems to monitor shipments, resolve delivery issues, and ensure on-time performance.
- Compare carrier rates and service levels, identifying the most cost-effective and reliable shipping options.
- Execute dropshipping orders through various suppliers, ensuring order accuracy and proper documentation.
- Reconcile supplier and freight invoices, verifying accuracy and disputing discrepancies as necessary.
- Support the procurement process by learning to source, purchase, and receive goods; interact with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Maintain detailed shipping logs, inventory reports, and cost analyses to support operational decision-making.
- Ensure maximum warehouse space utilization and uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with customer service and accounts team to ensure smooth logistics flow.
Skills Required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to create and manage spreadsheets, track logistics metrics, and generate performance reports.
- Experience using inventory management systems, QuickBooks, or other logistics/ERP software (preferred).
- Strong understanding of shipping cost analysis, freight optimization, and carrier rate comparison.
- Solid knowledge of data entry accuracy, reconciliation processes, and logistics reporting tools.
- Ability to operate, or willingness to learn to operate, a forklift and order picker (Forklift License preferred).
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support efficient, data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with dropshipping workflows and supplier coordination best practices.
- Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a positive, "can-do" attitude.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized work environment, including accurate labeling and packaging.
- Ability to lift and pack boxes weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driver's License preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay: $17.85-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
