Overview

JLink Transportation is a Vancouver-based logistics group providing Canada-wide trucking (LTL/FTL), import/export customs brokerage coordination, ocean (FCL/LCL), air freight, multimodal solutions, and warehousing. We operate a CBSA Sufferance Warehouse, offering container exams, trans-loading, and bonded movements.

We're hiring a Logistics Manager, CBSA Sufferance Warehouse, to connect office workflows with warehouse execution and customs activities. You will coordinate documents, systems, and schedules across teams; support CBSA exams; and ensure shipments are released and delivered on time while meeting all compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate CBSA Sufferance Warehouse processes (container arrivals, exam scheduling, documentation, release).
  • Liaise with customs brokers, carriers, and CBSA officers to resolve holds, discrepancies, and release issues.
  • Maintain compliance with Transport Canada, PIP/CSA (C-TPAT familiarity an asset), and internal safety standards.
  • Ensure accurate records and audit readiness (CCN/BL, ACI/eManifest data, release notices).
  • Bridge office workflows with warehouse execution (receiving, put-away, trans-load, outbound).
  • Create and maintain SOPs, checklists, work instructions, and run daily huddles/exception reviews.
  • Monitor capacity, dock schedules, and carrier appointments to meet SLA/OTD targets.
  • Align release timing with dispatch, linehaul, and final-mile delivery plans.
  • Manage shipment exceptions (shortages, damages, refusals) and compile claim packages.
  • Use WMS/TMS and spreadsheets to track inventory, exam/pass rates, OTD, dwell/aging, and costs.
  • Produce weekly/monthly KPI reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate inbound warehouse activities and support CBSA on-site exams in our facility.
  • Communicate clearly across teams and escalate risks to ensure on-time release and delivery.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years in logistics/warehousing, customs coordination, or port/terminal operations; experience in a CBSA Sufferance Warehouse is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency with WMS/TMS and Excel/Google Sheets (lookups, pivots, basic analytics).
  • Excellent cross-team communication, prioritization under time pressure, and problem-solving; strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
  • Professional English required; Mandarin/Cantonese is an asset.
  • Exposure to cost control (detention/demurrage/exam fees), KPI reporting, and carrier/vendor management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
