Trader& Client Service AssociateThe FirmA boutique Portfolio Manager firm based in Torontoand Montreal that works with hundreds of High -Net -Worth Canadian Families fromCoast to Coast. The firm is focused on building and managing customizedportfolios to meet the needs of each client Family.The RoleThe Trader & Client Service Associate plays akey role in the operations team supporting data management, client reporting,trade processes, and problem resolution. This person will work closely with theVP of Trading and Operations and Client Services Manager to ensure integrity ofthe data systems. This position requires strong computer skills, attention todetail, a positive professional attitude, and ability to work in a teamenvironment.Duties andResponsibilities· Assist with execution of all trades across allasset classes including global equities, global bonds, preferred shares, moneymarket instruments and foreign exchange.· Settle all traded instruments in a timelyfashion.· Liaise with brokers, back -office personnel andcustodian to resolve any trading issues.· Ensure all client accounts have adequate cash ona daily basis.· Maintain records of trades and confirmations forregulation and compliance purposes· Ensure daily prices and FX rates are updatedacross the security universe.· Setup securities and use Bloomberg to gatherrelevant information.· Perform daily account electronic reconciliationof systems to custodial records.· Monitor corporation actions and ensure responsessubmitted to meet deadlines· Assist with client inquiries, account updates,and maintaining accurate client information.· Support the preparation of client documents,proposals, and account -opening materials.· Help Portfolio Managers prepare for clientmeetings by organizing required materials.· Creates and verify client statements againstcustodial and address any errors or omissions.· Identify the need to promote workflow/systemefficiency across operations and trading.· Other work as assigned.Educationand Experience Requirements:The ideal candidate will have at least three yearsof experience working at an investment management firm or financialinstitution, with a background in serving high -net -worth clients.A University or College degree, preferably inBusiness or Finance, is required. Successful completion of the CSC and CPH isessential, and experience in Fixed Income would be a valuable asset.Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Officesuite—particularly Excel—is expected, along with knowledge of Bloomberg andexperience using portfolio management systems (e.g., Harmony Infinite Systems)preferred.
