We are looking for a
**Web Designer** for the largest automotive marketplace in Canada.
- Design, create and maintain artwork for Trader Corporation websites and Professional Customer websites. Design & develop graphics and technologies for the websites that enable meeting organization’s strategy for significantly improving user experience.
- Service internal or external clients and act as a technical contact for hosted co-brands of Trader Corporation.
- Design and develop the online ads to meet our client communications needs based on management's Internet/Intranet strategies and goals. Maintain standards of quality creation and content. Interact with both internal and external clients to assure client satisfaction. Create artwork for Trader Corporation’s production Websites and also Business Requirements mockups using design tools & technologies such as Photoshop, Flash, etc.
- Upload print files to online content site for Trader weekly, ensuring successful transfer and that data is correct. Communicate with production and sales.- Develop client website, to their specifications within the parameters of acceptable functions as established by IS/IT. Communicate with external client to ensure content is as required. Maintain client site and edit content as required. Producing website designs using a combination of HTML, CSS & Flash that will deliver a “highly usable experience” for the target user, have a logical navigation system, and have all the features detailed in the product specification.
- Maintain current knowledge of web design technologies with a basic knowledge of related Internet programming and multimedia technologies, including Flash, CSS, Java, and JavaScript. Also maintain a basic knowledge of web server capabilities and their operation.

**Job Requirements**
- Graphic Design diploma (P) or bachelor’s degree/community college diploma with significant design experience (P)
- 2 years’ experience at an intermediate level with HTML and UI design; 1-year commercial experience (R)
- Experience in the advertising and publishing industry (A)
- Advanced HTML, CSS skills; Expertise working with the web design/print software suite of Adobe/Macromedia
- Excellent design skills, including typography, layout, colour, user interface & navigation.
- Able to design for cross platform compatibility.
- Experience working with ASP (Active Server Pages)
