Accounting and Office Administration Assistant

Job Type: Full-time

Required education: Accounting, bookkeeping, or aviation background an asset.

Required experience: Minimum 3 years.

Hours of operation are Monday- Friday, 7:30 am-4:00 pm.

Start date – immediately.

Campbell Helicopters Ltd. is a charter helicopter company providing wildfire fighting services to provinces across Canada.

Skills:

· MS Office suite: Intermediate skills in Word and Excel needed.

· Sage 50 experience is valuable but not required.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Fluent English is necessary.

· Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and speed.

· Ability to multi-task while working under pressure to adhere to deadlines.

· Drivers License is required.

Duties:

The duties of this role are primarily related to payroll and accounts receivable, as well as other duties as required within the accounting department.

Duties relating to payroll are:

· Receive and record weekly work summaries from employees and pseudo-employee contractors.

· Process month end payroll reports including allocations and job costing.

· Calculate mid-month and end of month payroll amounts based on salary, daily rates, premiums, and flight pay.

· Process mid-month and end of month payroll cheques.

· Calculate and prepare semi-monthly Receiver General remittances.

· Calculate, reconcile and report WCB for multiple provinces.

· Onboarding and offboarding documents for employees.

· Tracking and processing employee expense claims.

· Other duties related to payroll and employees.

Duties relating to accounts receivable are:

· Receive, check, and record daily flight reports.

· Prepare invoices relating to flight hours and recharged items.

· Reconcile accounts receivable accounts.

· Other duties related to invoices and accounts receivable.

Other duties related to office administration and the accounting department include:

· Answering phone calls.

· Filing.

· Occasional assistance with inventory tracking.

· Ad hoc requests as they arise.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
