What will the work look like for me?
We are seeking a visionary and execution-driven Product Manager for Advanced Graphics. You will drive strategic vision, product development, and lifecycle execution—from concept to end-of-support—of cutting-edge, scalable graphics software tools for use across a range of markets. You will need a global mindset—working across many customer types, regions, and applications—to deeply understand customer needs, identify adjacent and emerging market opportunities, and ensure financial performance.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, storytelling, and connecting with audiences of all types, with a passion for leveraging real-time complex data sets to enhance audience engagement through compelling and immersive visual experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Exploring Markets and Users: Identify customer needs, industry trends, and competition through thorough research and direct engagement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business leaders, partners, customers, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure product success.
- Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Financial Performance: Track, report, and improve the products' financial performance.
- Prioritize: Collaborate with stakeholders and product development teams to set product priorities.
- Product Development: Partner with cross-functional teams in the design and development of new products and features.
- Deliver Value: Partner with product launch teams to ensure stakeholders are prepared to produce, sell, and support our products.
- Lifecycle: Own the product through its full lifecycle, communicating and partnering with stakeholders through transitions.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure smooth product implementation.
- Feedback Loop: Gather and analyze customer feedback, product usage, and reliability data to continuously improve product offerings.
Where is this opportunity located?
Daktronics offers the flexibility to work from a Canada home office with preference in the greater Burlington and Ottawa area. This position will be based on working during regular business hours in the Central time zone, with occasional early or late hours required to collaborate with our global offices. Periodic travel is required to support business needs, collaborate with product development teams, meet with customers, or collaborate with external partners.
What are the pay and perks?
The typical hiring range for this position is CAD$115,000 to $140,000 annually based on the location of Burlington/Ottawa, Ontario. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education, experiences, location, and applicable local legislation.

Qualifications:
To be considered for the Product Manager opportunity, we require the following:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering and/or Business with strong technical knowledge.
- 5+ years of product management experience in media technology, data visualization platforms, sports production, or comparable.
- Demonstrated capabilities:
- Leadership of product(s) that combine real-time data with visual storytelling or audience engagement.
- Strong understanding of live event production workflows and broadcast graphics systems.
- Technical fluency in integrating data streams and real-time rendering engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Vizrt, Chyron, Ross, Daktronics).
- Strong interpersonal skills; can engage with multiple stakeholders and adapt communication style to be most effective; strong oral and written communication skills.
- Leading through influence across functional teams and organizational layers.
- Managing ambiguity and adapting to shifting needs.
- Developing strong relationships with customers or industry partners and leveraging them to identify and understand customer needs.
- Vision setting and strategy; successfully championing new and different concepts.
- Evaluating wide-ranging short- and long-term opportunities and setting clear priorities.
- Strong curiosity and drive for continuous learning.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Team player; quick to offer help; supports the needs of our teams and stakeholders.
- Responsible and accountable for results.
- Preferred experiences:
- Experience with integrating technologies like augmented, virtual, and mixed reality (AR/VR/MR) into customer/fan engagement platforms and interactive media.
- Experience incorporating emerging technologies, like generative AI or AI agents, to improve and automate customer workflows for data visualization.
- Hands-on experience with Daktronics advanced graphics products.
- Exercise good judgment in making decisions, considering both short- and long-range implications.
- Work effectively as a team member, working independently with minimal supervision. Offer assistance when needed, propose and implement suggestions for product and process improvements, and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Become knowledgeable of company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required to meet customer expectations.
- Ability to travel by air and ground. Valid driver's license. Must be able to meet and maintain Daktronics Qualified Driver status. Motor vehicle records will be checked.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally, up to a week at a time to customer sites, installations, vendors, conventions, company headquarters, etc.
- Anticipated travel frequency is 6-12 trips per year or as needed. Must be able to obtain the appropriate visas to travel to other countries as needed.
- Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Fluent in English, written and verbal.
