Riva is seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager to join our marketing team. You are an exceptional writer with engaging written and verbal communication and presentation skills. A keen intuition drives your ability to speak up and know when to influence and drive essential changes. You are passionate about learning and understanding your market and translating that expertise into effective positioning, actionable product launch, and go-to-market plans.

**WHO ARE YOU**

You are a strong product marketing professional accustomed to building and managing the product marketing function, communicating the value and power of products, and asserting the business impact of solutions to buyers, senior executives, analysts, and influencers. You’ll partner closely with product management, engineering, customer success, sales, and marketing teams to build and execute our go-to-market plan by creating high-impact positioning, messaging, and assets and enabling our sales team and partners to drive business growth.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

This fast-paced, multi-responsibility, and mínimal supervision position reports to the VP of Marketing. The Product Marketing Manager will drive Riva's go-to-market strategy, be the expert on the markets, buyers, and competitors, and lay the foundation for market success.

**Key focus areas**:

- Drive go-to-market strategy and execution and understand the market and customer feature preferences and validate product positioning and messaging
- Deeply understand challenges and topics that are important to customer data integration leaders and practitioners
- Develop use cases for products by understanding user behaviors and pain points and by delving deep into the user journey to match problems with strategic opportunities
- Own messaging, positioning, and storytelling to articulate how our products deliver positive results and outcomes, solve fundamental customer problems, and drive value for their businesses
- Manage the launch of new products and features by working together with the product team and play a key role in the product lifecycle process from ideation through to launch, purchase, and adoption
- Drive content strategy and partner with the content and creative teams to inform and lead the creation of compelling and differentiated content across various formats such as web, white papers, videos, and datasheets
- Develop and manage buyer and user personas, including mapping out successful buyer journeys
- Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and our competitors by identifying, researching, distilling, and communicating competitive opportunities throughout the organization
- Become the go-to person for competitive intelligence in the category and drive proactive initiatives and campaigns to establish our differentiated position in the market
- Enable and equip the sales team with the knowledge and resources they need to articulate the value of our offerings at every step of the purchase cycle, helping drive an effective win rate, and converting prospects into successful customers
- Proactively engage with industry analysts and research firms and create analyst content and briefings to drive advocacy and market impact
- Partner with the Riva Marketing team to develop a robust ecosystem of customer advocates and grow our library of technical and business-oriented case studies that clearly articulate the value of Riva
- Create compelling content to enable the demand marketing team and the SDR, sales, and customer success teams to execute relevant campaigns and marketing programs
- Define an influencer program and build relationships and partnerships with industry influencers that amplify brand and product awareness and lead to long-term business benefits

**WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE**
- 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS environment with three years in product marketing preferred
- Previous experience in B2B customer marketing, demand generation, or product management is a plus
- Deep knowledge of B2B marketing, B2B SaaS sales cycles, and product marketing best practices
- Track record developing compelling, differentiated, and concise messaging for large organizations with complex technology environments
- Proven ability to engage with technical and business audiences alike and understand their unique challenges and motivations
- Strong analytical skills to drive systematic improvements to product
- Proven ability to clearly and graciously communicate and receive feedback
- A bachelor’s degree in business or marketing or equivalent experience
