Front Desk Receptionist – Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, you will play a key role in providing a welcoming experience and supporting daily operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Preference will be given to candidates who live within 2 km of our shop for convenience and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Manage a multi-line phone system; direct calls and take accurate messages
  • Handle data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Organize, file, and maintain documents for quick reference
  • Provide prompt customer support and answer inquiries
  • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks when required
  • Prepare, type, and proofread business documents
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception/front desk area
  • Assist staff with clerical and administrative duties
  • Manage appointment scheduling and calendars

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous receptionist or front desk experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills; dental or medical office experience is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Knowledge of multi-line phone systems & professional phone etiquette
  • Strong computer literacy & data-entry accuracy
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Accurate typing skills for documentation

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
