Job Overview

The role of Assistant Manager is to assist in organization and operation of the store. The Assistant Manager is the fill in for the Store Manager when required. Your job is highly important in ensuring the sales team meets its goals of efficiency and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the duties of the Assistant Manager are to make sure our store operates effectively and that we exceed our customer service expectations. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers.
  • Coordinate daily customer service operations.
  • Track the progress of daily sales projections and targets – keep staff informed.
  • Hiring, training, discipline, and termination in consultation with the store Manager.
  • Evaluate employee performance and identify hiring and training needs.
  • Supervise and motivate staff to perform – develop a team of "A-players".
  • Execute sales training programs and techniques.
  • Handle complaints from customers, escalate when required.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to company policies and guidelines.
  • Act as our store's representative and set an example for our staff.
  • Ensure that the store is clean, safe, and presentable by maintaining a top level of cleanliness and OPS score for the store.
  • Monitor and maintain store inventory.

Schedule

  • 3:30pm - 11:30pm Sunday to Thursday.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays as needed.

Qualifications

  • Serving it Right Certification required.
  • Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of retail sales principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in cash handling and administrative duties.
  • Familiarity with POS systems is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Multilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clientele.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
