Director, Proposal and Order Entry

Survalent is seeking a Director of Proposals and Order Entry to lead our proposal and order processing teams. This pivotal role ensures the delivery of timely, accurate, and compelling customer-facing materials while overseeing efficient and seamless order entry operations. The successful candidate will shape proposal strategies, optimize processes, and champion continuous improvement to support Survalent's ongoing business growth and customer success

What will you be doing?

• Oversee the development, coordination, and delivery of high-quality proposals in response to customer RFPs and RFIs.
• Lead proposal strategy and content development in collaboration with sales, product, development, legal, and finance teams.
• Ensure order entry processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant with internal standards and customer requirements.
• Continuously improve proposal and order entry templates, tools, and workflows to reduce turnaround time and improve quality.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve service levels across proposals, order entry, and
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
• Leverage technology to improve efficiency, consistency, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Lead, mentor, and support the proposal, and order entry teams to achieve performance and development goals.
• Promote a culture of ownership, collaboration, and innovation across the organization.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and ensure career development for all direct reports.
• Manage the department's operating budget, resource planning, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure efficient allocation of team resources to meet current and projected business needs.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in proposals, order entry, or related operational roles
• 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
• Experience working with or supporting software solutions for electric utilities, particularly SCADA, OMS, or DMS systems, is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of technical proposal development, order lifecycle management
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive performance improvement.
• Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills in a deadline-driven environment.
