ROLE SUMMARY

The Brand & Creative Manager is responsible for defining, elevating, and protecting JAKROO's premium visual identity and brand voice. This role blends creative leadership, hands-on asset creation, and storytelling excellence to differentiate JAKROO in the premium custom technical apparel market.

This individual's must bring a high level of creative taste, cycling/endurance culture fluency, and the ability to produce world-class content with speed and precision. They direct the brand — but they also make the brand.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Brand Leadership & Creative Direction

  2. Own the complete JAKROO brand identity system: aesthetic, tone, photography style, motion style, and storytelling frameworks.

  3. Lead creative direction for product launches, campaigns, brand films, ambassador stories, event visuals, and packaging.
  4. Maintain premium brand consistency across all customer touchpoints.
  5. Develop and steward the JAKROO Brand Playbook for internal teams and external creators.

  6. Content Creation & Asset Production

  7. Hands-on creator: produce, edit, or oversee video content, photography, lifestyle visuals, and product-specific technical storytelling.

  8. Direct studio and on-location photo/video shoots with athletes and models.
  9. Collaborate with UI/UX on visually elevated website experiences.
  10. Create high-quality assets for ads, landing pages, emails, product pages, and social media.
  11. Manage and structure the brand's digital asset library.

  12. Cross-Functional Storytelling

  13. Translate product features into emotionally compelling narratives grounded in performance and craftsmanship.

  14. Support Sales and Community with on-brand creative for key accounts, clubs, and ambassadors. Work with Growth team to produce thumb-stopping creative optimized for Meta, Google, YouTube.
  15. Partner with Product Manager on technical accuracy and innovation storytelling.

  16. Creative Operations & Leadership

  17. Manage freelance photographers, videographers, editors, motion artists as needed.

  18. Oversee creative timelines, deliverables, and quality standards within a lean team.
  19. Partner with Dev/COO to ensure smooth integration of creative assets into JAKROO's proprietary systems (CRM, Google Cloud,DesignLab).

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • 5+ years in creative direction, brand design, or visual content creation for performance, outdoor, or high-end technical apparel brands (cycling, triathlon, running strongly preferred).
  • Hands-on expert in video production and post-production — able to storyboard, direct, shoot, and/or edit video content.
  • Proven track record producing premium lifestyle and product visuals used across campaigns, digital ads, and e-commerce.
  • Strong understanding of cycling/endurance sports culture, visual language, community aesthetics, and athlete storytelling.
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Lightroom, Photoshop), Figma, and modern photo/video workflows.
  • Ability to direct athletes, models, and creative teams with confidence and clarity.
  • Deep understanding of brand building and creative systems for premium-positioned companies.
  • Experience working in lean, fast-moving teams where multitasking and ownership are required.
  • Strong copy sensibility — able to elevate storytelling with minimal input.

Preferred:

  • Experience with high-end European or North American premium apparel brands.
  • Familiarity with motion graphics, light animation, or 3D content pipelines.
  • Experience implementing AI-assisted content production workflows (Gemini, Runway, Midjourney, etc.).

  • Higher product page conversion rates tied to improved visual storytelling.

Velocity & Efficiency

  • On-time delivery of all creative assets for launches and campaigns.
  • Reduction in revision cycles and faster production timelines.
  • Increased volume of usable assets for Sales, Marketing, and Community.

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Smooth integration with Product, Sales, and Dev teams' timelines.
  • High adoption of brand guidelines across internal and external creators.
