About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial B2B sales professional to help us grow our wholesale apparel business across Canada. You will sell blank and customisable apparel (T-shirts, fleece, outerwear, headwear and accessories) to promotional agencies, print shops, corporate buyers and other high-volume clients. This temporary, part-time role is ideal for a self-motivated sales agent with an existing book of business who wants flexibility and uncapped earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

Prospect & qualify B2B clients
– identify and target potential customers in your territory such as screen printers, team dealers, corporate promotional buyers and uniform suppliers. Leverage your existing network and attend industry events to build a strong pipeline.

Promote apparel lines & solutions
– demonstrate a deep understanding of our product portfolio (blanks and decorated apparel) and present appropriate solutions to meet customer needs. Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and product demonstrations.

Negotiate and close orders
– prepare quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and secure purchase orders for volume apparel orders. Manage the sales cycle from first contact through to delivery and payment, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with company policies.

Relationship management
– build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts by providing excellent customer service, answering product questions, tracking orders and resolving issues. Maintain regular contact to ensure customer satisfaction and identify additional sales opportunities.

Coordinate with internal teams
– work with the operations/warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory availability and timely delivery. Provide customer feedback to product development and marketing teams to influence future offerings.

Report & forecast
– use a CRM system to maintain up-to-date customer and sales information, prepare sales reports and provide accurate forecasts of future sales.

Monitor market trends
– stay informed about fashion trends, competitor offerings and pricing to position our products effectively and provide feedback on market needs.

Attend trade shows & industry events (optional)
– represent our company at relevant trade shows or local promotional product association events to generate leads and build brand awareness.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in B2B apparel or promotional product sales
    – at least 3–5 years of successful experience selling blank or decorated apparel to distributors, screen printers or corporate buyers. Candidates with territory manager or account executive backgrounds at companies like SanMar, S&S Activewear, alphabroder or similar wholesalers will excel.
  • Existing customer relationships
    – established network within the Canadian promotional product or uniform market is highly desirable. Ability to leverage existing contacts to generate immediate business.
  • Strong communication & negotiation skills
    – ability to deliver engaging presentations, negotiate pricing and close deals. Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Self-motivated & goal-oriented
    – comfortable working independently in a commission-only environment. Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
  • Organised & tech-savvy
    – ability to maintain accurate records using CRM software, prepare sales reports and manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
  • Industry knowledge
    – understanding of apparel fabrics, decoration methods (screen-printing, embroidery), sizing and trending styles. Ability to provide product recommendations to clients.
  • Education
    – bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred, but demonstrated sales performance is more important than formal credentials.
  • Availability
    – ability to commit to part-time work (approximately 20–25 hours per week) for a six-month period and travel within assigned territory as needed.

Compensation

This role is a commission-only position. Your earnings will be tied directly to the sales revenue you generate, offering significant upside for strong performers. Because you will be representing a well-established apparel supplier with existing inventory and logistics support, you can focus on closing deals rather than back-office tasks.
