We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in sushi preparation, food handling, and kitchen operations to deliver authentic and high-quality sushi dishes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary artistry in a vibrant restaurant environment dedicated to exceptional food service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes with precision and attention to detail
- Ensure all food preparation adheres to food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi bar and kitchen area
- Manage ingredient inventory, including ordering and stock rotation
- Serve customers with professionalism, providing excellent food service experience
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
- Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency in quality
- Assist in training junior staff or apprentices as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in sushi making, food preparation, and cooking within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices
- Experience in serving customers and providing excellent food service
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, meal preparation, and restaurant workflows
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of the principles of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is highly preferred
- Passion for Japanese cuisine and culinary excellence
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
