Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to inspire students through engaging music education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching music, experience working with children, and a genuine enthusiasm for fostering creativity and musical skills. This role involves designing and delivering age-appropriate lessons, nurturing students' musical talents, and creating a positive learning environment that encourages growth and confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive music lesson plans tailored to students' age and skill levels.
  • Conduct individual and group tutoring sessions to enhance students' understanding of musical concepts, instruments, and performance techniques.
  • Foster a love of music by creating fun, interactive, and educational activities that motivate students.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Organize recitals, performances, or showcases to give students opportunities to demonstrate their skills.
  • Collaborate with parents, guardians, and staff to support students' musical education goals.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Incorporate elements of early childhood education where appropriate to engage younger learners effectively.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with tutoring or teaching music in classroom or private settings.
  • Strong knowledge of music theory, instruments, or vocal training.
  • Experience working with children across various age groups; classroom experience is preferred.
  • Ability to design engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Excellent communication skills and patience when working with young learners.
  • Background in early childhood education is a plus.
  • Creativity in developing fun and educational activities related to music.
  • Prior experience with cooking is not required but may be considered a bonus for integrated activity planning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the musical journey of young learners while fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
