Who You Are

You're a mindful, authentic human who is trained as a yoga teacher. You understand the depth of yoga beyond asanas. You are capable of creating a safe container for students to practice within and understand the journey each practice can take. You hold space with care and curiosity, and you want to teach in a place that honours yoga as both a practice and a path.

You have creative sequences for yin, restorative, hatha or flow. You understand the difference between functional and aesthetic yoga and honour each student's path.

Who We Are

Heart Work is a collective of therapists and yoga instructors who believe healing happens through relationship, embodiment, and authenticity. We offer classes and workshops that blend movement, mindfulness, and soul work. Our studio is quiet, cozy, and intentionally designed to support nervous system regulation and deep presence. Classes at Heart Work are smaller than what big studios offer, giving you the chance to connect with students.

What You'll Do

• Teach yoga classes based on schedule and demand
• Option to co-facilitate workshops integrating yoga and therapy (let us know if you're in to that)
• Teach in person at our beautiful, light-filled Victoria space
• Help foster a culture of reflection, connection, and ease, especially for those new to yoga
• Bring your own voice and creativity to the practice

What You'll Receive

• Use of our relaxing, fully equipped studio, including mats, props, and music.
• Marketing and admin support. You only need to check students in on our laptop when they arrive.
• Connection with a community of like-minded therapists and instructors
• Freedom to design your classes in a way that feels authentic

Requirements

• Certified yoga teacher (200hr minimum)
• Current liability insurance and ability to work in Canada
• Commitment to trauma-informed, inclusive, and body-aware teaching
• Alignment with Heart Work's values and philosophy
