Musical Theatre Instructor

**Responsibilities**:

- Instruct a group of students in the discipline of Musical Theatre
- Collaborate with other instructors and guide students towards learning the elements of musical theatre
- Create a performance piece for students to showcase at end of term
- Musical Direct students - teaching them various material as well as proper vocal technique
- Create coreography for the group level and guide students through the movements
- Communicate with heads of The Studio about requests, timelines, and progress
- Creating a fun, safe and educational environment for all students

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education in Theatre/Music or equivalent experience within the field
- Experience working with youth
- Strong proficiency in musical direction
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with others
- Up to date Vulnerable Sector Check
- (optional) Strong ability to play piano

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- teaching: 2 years (preferred)
- musical directing: 1 year (preferred)
