The Opportunity
We're looking for a bold and visionary leader to elevate AgeCare's brand, build trust, and lead impactful communications that support and engage our residents, families, staff, and communities. As Vice President of Communications & Marketing, you will serve as the strategic voice of our organization, strengthening our reputation, deepening stakeholder engagement, and telling the story of who we are and what we stand for.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced executive to lead integrated communications strategies rooted in our core values of Trust, Respect, Quality, and Teamwork. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will oversee all facets of internal and external communications, media relations, brand development, digital strategy, and stakeholder engagement across AgeCare.
What You'll Do
Strategic Communications Leadership
Develop and lead a unified, multi-channel communications and marketing strategy aligned with AgeCare's vision and priorities.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team on messaging, media relations, and crisis communications.
Oversee reputation management and ensure consistent, compelling storytelling across all platforms.
Monitor trends in digital communication and healthcare branding to keep AgeCare's presence relevant and forward-thinking.
Corporate & Internal Communications
Drive employee engagement through clear, authentic, and consistent internal communications.
Manage change communications during times of transformation or policy evolution.
Support leadership messaging, including CEO communications, town halls, and internal campaigns.
Brand, Media & Public Relations
Act as AgeCare's primary spokesperson; build and nurture relationships with media and external stakeholders.
Oversee the creation of media releases, public statements, and external campaigns.
Strengthen brand recognition through impactful storytelling and strategic community partnerships.
Client Safety Culture
Integrate communication practices that reinforce AgeCare's commitment to resident safety, dignity, and well-being.
Support education and awareness initiatives that sustain a culture of safety and respect.
What you Bring
Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
15+ years of progressive leadership experience in communications, marketing, or public relations.
A proven track record of developing and executing high-impact strategies in complex, people-centered environments (e.g., healthcare, nonprofit, or senior living).
Deep expertise in crisis communication, media relations, brand stewardship, and digital strategy.
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with experience leading high-performing teams.
Skilled in navigating organizational change, fostering innovation, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
A strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a deep understanding of audience engagement.
A confident communicator and compelling storyteller who leads with empathy and integrity.
