Reporting to the President, the
Vice President, Sales
is part of the strategic leadership team providing input and perspective drawn from a deep understanding of our client's commercial operations including, sales, marketing and service functions, as well as broader business management.

The Vice President, Sales & Customer Experience is part of the SL10 Strategic Leadership Team providing input and perspective drawn from sales leadership, quota attainment and sales team development experience, as well as broader business management.

The Vice President is responsible for ensuring that the sales, marketing, and sales operations functions are aligned with the overall corporate business goals and objectives of the company. Key aspects of this role include; building and growing all its brands across relevant geographic regions, driving and delivering accurate sales forecasts and budgets, and ensuring efficient and highly supportive sales and customer support services. The VP is responsible for ensuring the sales organization is aligned with the broader business goals and objectives. Key aspects of this role include driving sales growth with the right team and leadership; developing strategies and evaluating market and customer opportunities; developing strong sales process disciplines; creating a long-term sales vision and culture within the team leading to world domination.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data driven strategic plans to surpass annual sales targets and increase market share
  • Build an effective Sales Team structure and compensation model to achieve strategic market growth objectives and increase the velocity of sales
  • Develop and report on weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives and assess company performance to these objectives
  • Lead and motivate staff to deliver on targets and improve customer service with clients
  • Cultivate lasting relationships with customers/dealers to better understand their needs and grow customer loyalty
  • Estimate sales volume and profit for current and new products
  • Recruit and train a successful Sales Team
  • Engage in effective bi-annual performance management activities in support of team growth and professional development
  • Manage to planned revenue and expense budgets
  • Work closely with cross functional SL10 team to support all aspects of the business

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Proven sales experience, meeting, or exceeding targets
  • Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a relevant field
  • Proven experience developing, implementing and executing sales plans
  • Experience attracting, acquiring, developing and motivating sales talent
  • Knowledge of markets and their purchasing methodologies
  • Ability to lead with a sales mentality, aptitude and instinct
  • Target driven and vigilant in managing to budgets/forecasts
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing and sales techniques and best practices
  • Experience identifying pipelines for new business growth, including new markets, new distribution channels, or new products
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent listening, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
