Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sandblaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting and finishing by using sandblasting techniques. This role requires attention to detail, and a strong understanding of safety protocols. The Sandblaster will work closely with other team members to ensure high-quality results in various projects.
Duties
- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting or finishing.
- Cleans and repairs sandblasting equipment regularly.
- Loads Shop with blaster material
- Ensure that all safety measures are followed while operating equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding project needs and timelines.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner.
- May Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in sandblasting or related fields such as commercial or industrial painting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
- Working knowledge of safety devices necessary for sandblasting.
- Problem solving skills.
- Forklift certification (Preffered)
