**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced sandblaster to join our team. As a sandblaster, you will be responsible for preparing various surfaces for powder coating by using abrasive blasting techniques. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, an adherence to safety protocols.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform sandblasting operations to prepare surfaces for powder coating, ensuring proper adhesion and finish quality.
- Operate sandblasting equipment efficiently and safely, including sandblasting cabinets, blast rooms, and abrasive media.
- Inspect surfaces for cleanliness and proper preparation, making adjustments as needed to achieve desired results.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each project.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience as a sandblaster or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or powder coating environment.
- Proficiency in operating sandblasting equipment and familiarity with various abrasive media.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to abrasive blasting operations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
**Salary**: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
