**Position: Industrial Sandblaster**

**Location: Alberta**

**Type: Full Time, Hourly**

Barrier Group Is looking for an experienced full-time (seasonal) **Industrial Sandblaster**. We are looking for an outgoing, adaptable individual looking to learn and grow within our team and industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate and maintain sandblasting and coating equipment to job specifications associated with sanding, substrate surface preparation, and abrasive blasting
- Properly protect and mask sandblasting and coating work areas
- General labour activities as required such as, but not limited to, hauling of material, tools, equipment, etc.)
- Perform work in a safe manner in accordance with Barrier Group’s safe work practices, policies, and procedures
- Ability to identify hazards
- Report all incidents, near misses and equipment damage to site supervision
- Assist with other duties as required

**Required Qualifications**:

- Must be 18 years of age
- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience industrial sandblasting
- Previous experience with Tank Sandblasting and Coating is preferred
- Previous pipeline or facility experience is an asset
- Familiar with spraying and sandblasting equipment
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with 3-year clean Driver’s Abstract
- Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake endorsement is considered an asset
- CSTS or PCST Certification
- Standard First Aid Certification
- H2S Alive Certification
- OSSA Confined Space is considered an asset
- OSSA Fall Protection is considered an asset
- OSSA EWP is considered an asset
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and pre-access drug and alcohol testing

- Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to participate positively in an engaging culture
- Must be dependable
- Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

**Working Conditions**:

- Overtime as required
