Job Overview:

The Social Media Content Creator will be responsible for creating engaging, high-quality content for Utamami's social media channels, primarily TikTok and Instagram, while maintaining a consistent brand voice across all digital platforms. This role requires creativity, initiative, and an active presence within the restaurant to capture authentic moments, food, team culture, and guest experiences.

Job Requirements:

• Owned camera or filming equipment is an asset
• A created portfolio or examples of past work are an asset
• Previous experience in social media, content creation, or marketing is an asset
• A marketing, communications or related degree is considered an asset
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently.
• Create, film, edit, and publish engaging content for TikTok and Instagram
• Stay up to date with social media trends, and adapt them to fit the Utamami brand
• Collaborate with management, staff, BIA, Influencers and other media or local agencies to film behind-the-scenes, food, beverage and service content.
• Maintain and regularly update Utamami's website with fresh content
• Assist with content planning, posting schedules and campaign ideas
• Be actively involved within the restaurant to ensure content feels authentic and on-brand
• Represent Utamami with professionalism, creativity and a consistently positive attitude.
• Experience in creating for social media platforms (hospitality or lifestyle content preferred)
• Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok algorithms, trends and best practices
• A creative and motivated individual with an eye for detail
• Passionate about food, culture and storytelling
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, live restaurant environment
• Positive, proactive and aligned with Utamami's values.

Work Hours:

• Must be available to work an average of 25-35 hours weekly.
• Ability to work flexible shifts; days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires standing for up to 8 hours per shift, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing all day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position also requires lifting up to 25lbs from floor to waist, waist to shoulder and shoulder to above head. This position also required twisting, turning, and reaching.
