Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and bilingual Immigration Consultant who speaks French and English to work on work permit applications. The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance on work permit applications, manage client records, and facilitate communication between clients and government agencies. This role requires strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency with various computer applications. The Immigration Consultant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth application procedures and delivering exceptional customer service to diverse clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with work permit applications, documentation, and procedural requirements
  • Provide detailed consultations to explain immigration options and processes
  • Manage and maintain accurate records using databases and records management systems
  • Prepare and review legal documents, forms, and reports with attention to detail
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to create reports, presentations, and correspondence
  • Coordinate with government agencies and external partners through SharePoint and other project management tools
  • Conduct analysis of client cases to determine eligibility and strategic options
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients when necessary to facilitate approvals or resolve issues
  • Deliver presentations and training sessions to clients or team members as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws, policies, and procedures in both English and French languages

Experience

  • A minimum of 3-4 years of proven experience in immigration consulting working on work permit files
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Project, SharePoint, and Windows operating systems
  • Bilingual fluency in English and French is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated skills in project management, analysis, negotiation, records management, and organizational tasks
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to deliver clear presentations and maintain professional relationships
  • Previous experience with databases, procurement processes, filing systems, time management tools, and customer service is preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30,496.43-$35,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 per week

Work Location: Remote
