Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service and support to pet owners while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism upon arrival.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatments, and pet care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date.
  • Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
  • Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed, including laboratory preparations.
  • Provide clients with information on pet care, products, and services offered at the clinic.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and their pets.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor towards clients and animals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record management.
  • Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred; laboratory experience is a plus.
