Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is crucial in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth operation within our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners, as well as a keen attention to detail in managing administrative tasks. Experience in the related field is required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update client information in the system.
  • Process payments and manage billing inquiries with professionalism.
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with laboratory tasks or clinic chores as needed, leveraging any laboratory experience.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Handle client concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Laboratory experience is a plus, enhancing support for veterinary staff during procedures.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing exceptional care.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record management.

Pay: $17.50-$22.00 per hour
