A Day in the Life

As a Dodds Garage Doors Door and Dock Technician, each day is an opportunity to serve our customers with exceptional service. Your morning begins by reviewing scheduled service calls and installation jobs on your ipad, loading your vehicle with tools and parts before heading to your first job. Your day will be dynamic as you diagnose and repair or install overhead doors and docks. Throughout the day, you may respond to emergency service calls, troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues, install new door systems, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safety standards are met. Whether replacing a frayed cable, servicing a hydraulic dock leveler or installing an electric opener, your technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service make you an indispensable part of the team.

Are you our next door and dock technician?

Dodds is looking for an experienced lead dock and door technician that not only has a vast range of skills but has a positive attitude, attention to detail and learning mindset.

· Experience repairing and installing all types of loading docks and related equipment

· Basic electrical troubleshooting

· Experience installing sectional, fabric and rubber speed doors

· Comfort installing and repairing electric openers

· 5+ years of experience with overhead doors and loading dock equipment

· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

· Ability to work at heights and perform physical tasks

· A professional demeanor with strong customer service skills

· Attention to detail and diligence in paperwork and documentation

· Flexibility to work independently or in a team environment
