Our client, Hoogendoorn, is seeking a Data-Driven Growing Specialist to contribute to the success of its growers. About the Role

As a Data-Driven Growing Specialist, you will be the bridge between greenhouse growers and Hoogendoorn's advanced automation solutions, such as the
IIVO climate computer
and
Intelligent Algorithms software
. You'll work directly with growers across Canada to ensure they succeed in harnessing data-driven cultivation strategies while maximizing the benefits of the Hoogendoorn ecosystem. This is a highly collaborative role for someone who enjoys technology, plant science, and building strong partnerships within the horticultural industry. This position reports directly to the General Manager and is based at the company's branch office in Vineland Station, ON, Canada. Travel of 30-50% is to be expected.
Your responsibilities include:

  • Implementation & Support
  • Act as the primary point of contact for growers using Hoogendoorn IIVO and Intelligent Algorithms software
  • Guide Growers through the onboarding and implementation process to ensure full adoption and success
  • Monitor grower progress and proactively identify opportunities to increase automation value
  • Grower Partnerships & Feedback
  • Foster strong, trust-based relationships with growers to encourage openness and sharing of their day-to-day challenges in climate control and growing strategies
  • Develop growers into brand ambassadors through joint projects, events, and knowledge sharing
  • Gather feedback from growers on pain points and provide actionable insights to internal teams for software and process improvements
  • Knowledge Sharing & Representation
  • Serve as a spokesperson for Hoogendoorn at industry events, webinars, and workshops, and present case studies and best practices

What We Expect from You

Your Work Experience, Education, Skills & Traits

  • Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture
  • Min. 3 years of hands-on experience in the horticulture industry
  • Outstanding English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High energy and drive
  • Collaborative team player with a can do, will try approach
  • French language proficiency is a plus
