The pay range for the co-op student role will reflect factors such as the candidate's experience, academic level, and the specific skillset required for the role.

This role will be On-site in our office located in Mississauga daily Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Job Summary:

SHN is looking to hire a Summer Student within our Department of Specialty Pharmacy. Within the pharmacy team, the Student will support the pharmacy in processing medication orders and drug inventory management. The Student will also work on special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager and Supervisor.

The Student will effectively manage all assigned

tasks and responsibilities within the required timelines.

What You'll Do:

Specialty Pharmacy

Prepare medication orders for review by the pharmacist

Work on special projects and initiatives

Utilize systems to process medication orders (Health Watch, SAP)

Maintain medication inventory levels in the pharmacy

Place orders for medications and supplies that are required

Review medication inventory for expiries and remove from inventory

Follow up with patient files and pharmacy deliveries

Review faxes received in pharmacy and follow up with action items

Filing of prescription hard copies for storage

Maintain a clean and tidy workspace in the pharmacy

Responsible for special projects

Assume other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills

• Working towards a post-secondary education in a related field
• Ability to effectively communicate with all related internal teams
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Must be comfortable working with Microsoft Office
• Pharmacy experience is an asset
