**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Team Lead and/or Manager, the inventory pharmacy assistant will be responsible for supporting Rx Connect Pharmacy & Clinics. Your responsibility will primarily involve entering prescription orders into the pharmacy system, verifying information, and ensuring timely processing.
- **Job Duties**:_
- Receive prescription orders from patients, healthcare providers, and clinics
- Enter prescription information accurately into the pharmacy management system
- Verify prescription details, patient information, and insurance coverage to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Clarify any unclear or incomplete prescription information with healthcare providers or patients as needed.
- Communicate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, or other staff members regarding prescription orders
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prescription orders and patient information
- Maintain workflow through effective task prioritization and teamwork.
- The inventory pharmacy assistant will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time.
- **Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements**:_
- Post-secondary education or equivalent
- Two or more years of related pharmacy experience is an asset.
- Two or more years of experience with Kroll
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical technology and basic understanding or prescription medications.
- Previous experience in cold-chain distribution is an asset.
- Previous experience with biological and/or cytotoxic medication and sterile preparation is an asset.
- Willingness to adhere to regulations and guidelines governing pharmacy practice.
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing
- Ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
