A leading high-performance multi-family kitchen cabinet manufacturer is looking for an experienced Cabinet Sales Representative. The local BC market for kitchens, interior cabinetry and whole house renovation projects continues to evolve as builders adapt to new market dynamics and cost structures. Builders are looking well designed, attractive, high-quality cabinets that will be delivered on time and on budget. We believe that to reliably meet the expectations of developers, designers, builders and other industry stakeholders in this market, every aspect of the process needs to be optimized. Advanced manufacturing technology provides the base, but it is the modern techniques of efficient CAD design, lean manufacturing and project management that achieves the desired results.

We are currently looking for a proven sales representative to expand our operations across the Pacific Northwest. This industry professional will seek out new clients and create new market opportunities beyond the local environment. Our objective is to fully serve the market to its full potential in multiple sectors. This is an exceptional career opportunity for someone with a passion for the sales design process, an eye for detail and deep knowledge of materials, hardware and other the other aspects of building residential kitchen /interior cabinetry projects.

In general, this position is responsible for developing and building relationships with new and existing customers to generate sales revenue. It requires a proven ability to achieve sales targets by effectively developing a wide-ranging territory that spans multiple regions of BC. It needs a results driven sales approach that actively seeks out and engages customer prospects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Generate leads, manage the sales process, follow up with customers, and build and maintain client relationships to establish long term partnerships and identify new opportunities.
  • Assess customer needs, goals, and budgets to recommend appropriate solutions. Be aware of current cabinet designs, styles, finishes, and materials suitable for the project.
  • Working with professional designers, engineers, project managers and other stakeholders linked to projects to ensure a consistent and accurate approach that anticipates and addresses issues.
  • Work with the design/engineering department to ensure all cabinet layouts are suitable for the project objectives. Ensure all documentation is correct for any initial quotes for projects. Advise on design/build options that help meet the specifications of the project.
  • Work directly with customers on detailed product, program, and pricing information.
  • Collaborate with internal production teams to ensure each stage of the project is executed smoothly and ensure that delivery timelines stay on schedule.
  • Follow-up at key stages of the project to ensure all aspects of the job are correct from initial quoting/ordering to final walk throughs and closing of the project.
  • Participate in strategic planning process, identifying, evaluating, and qualifying potential opportunities.
  • Continuously scan the market to stay current on industry trends and identify opportunities.
  • Attend key industry events to gather intelligence and promote the brand.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive (5+years) experience in kitchen cabinet sales preferably in multi-family.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to operate cabinet design software in a sales environment to manipulate drawings, annotate, generate reports and prepare quotes.
  • A solid understanding of cabinets design principles and the specifics of kitchen layouts.
  • In depth understanding of the manufacturing process and installation phase management
  • Ability to read blueprints and specifications, verify data/measurements collected, and communicate with engineering staff, production leaders, site managers and skilled trades.
  • Analytical and strategic planning skills, problem solving, strong judgment and decision-making skills
  • Post-secondary education in sales management / business is an asset.
  • Professional and persuasive communicator with ability to drive sales.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
  • Valid BC Drivers license required to meet with clients, suppliers or visit sites.

The position is full time, day shift only, Monday to Friday, offering a very competitive compensation package. Already well received in the local market, as you generate further growth your potential for attractive commission earnings is substantial.
