Inside Sales Representative – Forklifts & Warehouse Equipment

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting sales and operations by managing customer inquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders, and ensuring a smooth experience from initial contact through order completion. This role acts as a key liaison between customers and internal teams.

The successful candidate will work closely with operations and logistics to deliver high-quality customer service, promote equipment solutions, and build long-term client relationships. No prior forklift experience is required; product training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide accurate product information, pricing, and quotations for forklifts and warehouse equipment.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend suitable equipment or solutions.
  • Follow up on quotations and sales opportunities to support deal closure.
  • Process sales orders, invoices, and related documentation using accounting or invoicing software.
  • Coordinate with operations and logistics teams regarding equipment preparation, delivery, and scheduling.
  • Maintain organized and accurate customer and sales records.
  • Support general sales administration and reporting as required.
  • Deliver consistent and high-quality customer service throughout the sales process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Previous experience in sales, inside sales, or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build professional relationships.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Familiarity with accounting or invoicing software is an asset.
  • Ability to learn new products and systems quickly; training will be provided.

Training, Education, and Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales or a related role is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in business or a related field is an asset.
  • High school diploma required.
  • No forklift or heavy equipment experience required.Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay: $20/hour, plus performance-based commission
