Inside Sales Representative – Forklifts & Warehouse Equipment
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting sales and operations by managing customer inquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders, and ensuring a smooth experience from initial contact through order completion. This role acts as a key liaison between customers and internal teams.
The successful candidate will work closely with operations and logistics to deliver high-quality customer service, promote equipment solutions, and build long-term client relationships. No prior forklift experience is required; product training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide accurate product information, pricing, and quotations for forklifts and warehouse equipment.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable equipment or solutions.
- Follow up on quotations and sales opportunities to support deal closure.
- Process sales orders, invoices, and related documentation using accounting or invoicing software.
- Coordinate with operations and logistics teams regarding equipment preparation, delivery, and scheduling.
- Maintain organized and accurate customer and sales records.
- Support general sales administration and reporting as required.
- Deliver consistent and high-quality customer service throughout the sales process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Previous experience in sales, inside sales, or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused with the ability to build professional relationships.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with accounting or invoicing software is an asset.
- Ability to learn new products and systems quickly; training will be provided.
Training, Education, and Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in sales or a related role is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in business or a related field is an asset.
- High school diploma required.
- No forklift or heavy equipment experience required.Compensation & Benefits
