Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by providing exceptional administrative support and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities

- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner

- Schedule patient appointments and maintain appointment calendars

- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately

- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays

- Update and maintain electronic medical records accurately

- Assist with billing and coding tasks as needed

- Manage front desk operations efficiently

Experience

- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred

- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems such as Oscar

  • Ability to use efax system preferably experience with ring central
  • Strong administrative skills with experience in office procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Familiarity with phone systems and handling multiple lines efficiently

  • Knowledge of how a FHO system is run, and ability to roster and de roster patients
