Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Technical Sales Specialist with expertise in welding, hardware solutions, and PTA. In this role, the Technical Sales specialist will support category management and sales efforts by driving revenue growth through technical support, supplier relationship management, customer handling and product knowledge. This role requires strong technical expertise in the welding/metal fabrication, manufacturing and retail industry, combining superior communication and sales skills to understand customer needs, propose solutions, and close opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, retailers and online channels providing tailored solutions.
  • Visit potential clients for product demonstrations and trials.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships through proactive outreach and vendor management.
  • Work closely with the vendors to introduce new products.
  • Work closely with graphics team to ensure accuracy and quality of marketing materials for the welding, hardware, and PTA categories
  • Prepare and deliver detailed sales quotes, proposals as and when required.
  • Analyze customer needs and recommend products and modifications that meet performance and cost requirements.
  • Support outside sales representatives by providing technical documentation, reports, and follow-up communication with clients.
  • Track sales opportunities in NetSuite, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.
  • Arrange product training sessions for the sales reps and customers.
  • Contribute to achieving individual and team targets while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • On board new suppliers under hardware, PTA, and industrial category where applicable.
  • Work closely with warehouse and Category Manager to ensure reordering, re-stocking and inventory management of relevant products.

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Science background preferred

Experience and Abilities

  • Proven experience in technical sales within manufacturing or industrial sectors, especially involving welding equipment or related hardware.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging product demos that clearly communicate complex technical features to diverse audiences.
  • Experience managing pre-sales processes from initial contact through proposal development and closing deals.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Fresh Graduates including BBA/MBA are welcome to apply
  • Good to have sales experience in welding or related industrial products.
  • Must possess a valid class 5 driver's license
  • Must have ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
